How to become a 4-H Adult Volunteer?

County 4-H Structure

Welcome to the Potter County 4-H Adult Volunteer Resources page. We are grateful to all our volunteers for their time and the knowledge they dedicate to our program. The following resources are here to help you in the organization, running, and management of your 4-H Club. Please do not hesitate to call our office at 806-373-0713 with any questions you may have!

The resources provided through the 4-H Program are intended to support youth and adults involved in 4-H. If you wish to join 4-H or start a club in your community, you MUST contact Rachel Berry, Potter County 4-H Agent.

Please visit the following website for all Club Manager Information.

Your role as an adult volunteer is to provide a safe, positive, and educational environment for kids to get the most out of their 4-H experience. Please review the 2018-2019 Texas 4H_Rules and Guidelines to make sure your club is in compliance with all the rules and guidelines as stated by 4-H, Inc. The following topics and accompanying literature will help ensure that your club is in compliance with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service & 4-H Inc. standards.

Texas 4-H Volunteer Development

4-H volunteers will be assessed a volunteer application fee in the amount of $10. This fee will be assessed annually when a 4-H volunteer creates or reactivates his/her profile in 4-H Online. The application fee will cover the cost of volunteer screening (which will continue to be conducted every three years) and expedite the screening process when paid by credit card.
